Christmas is over and we have a New Year quickly
approaching so it must be time to get those
Valentine's cards started!

This card was inspired by the inspiration photo at
and the sketch at

I found the free "elephant chick" printable at
Beccy's Place. I think she's so cute!

She was colored with spectrum noir markers,
fussy cut and popped with foam dots on the die cut circle.
I die cut a couple of hearts, layered and stamped the sentiment.
It all came together pretty quick.

Merry Christmas to All…

It's Christmas Eve so I came up with my version of
Kris Kringle winding down after a busy day.

I used the newest guy stamp set from
This is Kris and he comes with the beard, hat,
2 sentiments and 2 other small stamps.

The other images are digital stamps from
All images were stamped or printed on white card stock,
colored with spectrum noir markers and pencil colors and fussy cut.
The printed papers are fro DCWV. I used a Martha Stewart
border punch on the rug I created.
I computer generated the sentiment and cut with a Sizzix oval die.

Be sure and check out Kris and the other stamps at

Vintage Christmas

The vintage card making style is not my forte but when I came
across this vintage image I thought I would give it a go!

My daughter-in-law loves anything vintage so I think this card would be
great for her. I based it on the current sketch at

Christmas Candles

So I only thought I was through making Christmas cards for this year
and here I am making more!

I very rarely make more than one card designed the same as another
but I made one for my sister-in-law and
liked it so well I decided to put a couple more together.
There was a third one in a red, green, gold and creme color combo
but I didn't get a picture of it before one of my co-workers decided to buy it.
The candles are done with a Memory Box die. The circles
and poinsettias are Spellbinders. I used a Paper Studio
embossing folder and the metallic papers are DCWV.
I also used some jewel dazzles.
The sentiment on the silver card is a dazzles sticker
and the green card's was stamped and embossed.

Bobbie the Snowman

I was traveling through blogland the other day and when I landed at
Beccy's Place she has a free printable. A cute snowman named Bobbie.

I put this free printable to use when I discovered I needed one
more holiday card for a co-worker.

The color combo I used came from the current challenge at

I printed the image on white card stock, colored with
spectrum noir markers, fussy cut and applied stickles.
I added some enamel dots and applied the image it with foam dots
to the die cut oval.

Timmy's Birthday Kite

My latest card design for
features the new Timmy Stamp.

Timmy was stamped on white card stock, colored with markers
and fussy cut. I created the background with a cloud
embossing folder on blue card stock and sanded.
The printed paper and other elements are from
Hot Off the Press's "Confetti Play" line of products,
including 3-D paper tole and free downloads from their web site.

Did you notice Timmy's bare feet? Love them!

Red Poinsettia

I wanted to take part in the Just Us Girls challenge this week.

So, this is what I came up with.

I stamped one of the "sketchy flourishes" from an Inkadinkodo
stamp set by the same name and embossed with green embossing tinsel from
Ranger. I placed a 3-D poinsettia sticker from the Paper Studio on the
stamped image and added some green sequin leaves.
I cut the frame with a Spellbinders die, stamped the greeting with
a Hero Arts stamps and used red embossing tinsel. I cut the greeting
with an oval Sizzix framelits die and layered on a green oval die cut.
I finished up with some red gems in various sizes.

Die Cut Christmas

I wanted to get a couple more Christmas cards done to link up
with the Beccy's Place A Month of Christmas Cards Challenge.
Today Beccy has a card posted in which she used several die cuts
and challenges everyone else to do so.

Here's my take.

I used some Cricut die cuts. Some Sizzix originals die cuts
and Sizzix sizzlits die cuts. I threw in some punched snowflakes too.
I added some stickles to the center of the snowflakes
and used a white gel pen to add snow on the trees and the background.

Although it's not a pretty card like Beccy's I enjoyed putting
it together and think it turned out rather cute!

Season's Greetings

I love the current color combo at Color Throwdown for Christmas cards.
So I decided to combine it with the sketch challenge

The poinsettia is a free printable from Beccy's Place, which I'm
also linking up to for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.
I printed it twice on red card stock, highlighted with a silver paint pen,
fussy cut and layered on top of the DP from DCWV's
Foiled Elegant Stack. The greeting was stamped with a Hero Arts stamp.
I added the silver corner stickers which are from the Paper Studio
and ribbon from Michaels.

Thanks for taking a look!

Santa and Rudolph

Beccy's Place is running a Month of Holiday Cards Challenge
and there is a different theme each day.
Today the theme is to "Construct a Card"
using pre-colored cut outs, printables or purchased kits.
You should check out Beccy's card. It is beautiful.

But I didn't go the beautiful route. I decided to go with
cute and fun!

I found this Echo Park digital kit by Lori Whitlock called "Christmas Day"
and had a great time printing out each element
and fussy cutting to create this scene.

Wedding Day

I have an obsession with weddings. Always have, always will.
So I decided to make a wedding card using the current sketch at

The image of the couple is a free printable from Beccy's Place.
I colored the image with a combination of pencil colors,
spectrum noir markers and smooch ink and fussy cut.
The purple panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug
border embossing folder. The ribbon slide is from
my stash, can't remember where I purchased it.
I added 3 gems to finish up.

Snow Globe Wishes

Shaped cards are usually not my thing but I had some fun creating this one
so maybe I need to break out of my comfort zone and do some more!

I wanted to participate in the color challenge at the
Cosmic Colours challenge and felt like snowmen
would go well with the color combo, so when
I saw the current challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva's was to create
shaped cards a snow globe came to mind.

I cut the snow globe with the Christmas Cheer
Cricut cartridge. The snow family was stamped
with a Deep Red stamp, colored with pencil colors and fussy cut
I dry embossed the top part of the background,
tore a couple pieces of paper for the snow bank
and added glitter. The 3 blue snowflakes were some
I've had in my stash for quite a while. I used a Hero Arts
stamp for the greeting.

Rustic Christmas

Okay I'm calling this card "Rustic Christmas" even though
I'm not sure it's really rustic, but it's about as close as I get to being "rustic".

It was inspired by the photo challenge over at
Just Us Girls.

The tree was die cut twice with the Christmas Cheer
Cricut cartridge and layered. I added copper and antique gold brads.
The large ivory panel was embossed with a Darice embossing folder.
Square copper brads were added to the green strips.
The Stickabilities sticker greeting was placed on a label die cut
with a Taylored Expressions die.
And there you have it, "Rustic Christmas"?

Holiday Wishes

Here's my take on this week's sketch over at

The ornaments and sentiment were stamped with a Fiskars
stamp set called "Twas the Night Before" and embossed.
The pine fronds were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
I used black and silver metallic papers from DCWV.

Christmas Carousel

I have one last post for today with another holiday card.
This one was created with inspiration from
and
ColourQ.
The image I used is from
Beccy's Place.

Thanks for taking a look!

Birthday Princess

I needed to get a pink birthday card made so I took a little break
from my holiday card making.

I stamped the Prima doll twice, colored her dress and crown with
smooch inks, fussy cut and layered on her pencil colored body.

The ovals and banners were die cut. I did some dry embossing,
stamped the sentiment and added a little bling!

Christmas Wreath

I'm back with a card I put together yesterday. I wanted to make a wreath
card which is inspired by the month long challenge going on
at Beccy's Place.  There's a different theme each day this month
for holiday cards and seeing what's there really gets your juices flowing!

The sketch is from Cardabilities.

I just bought a new Sizzix Bigz die called Ornate Plate
which is what I used as the wreath. The poinsettias are
Paper Studio 3-D stickers. I added some green and red leaf sequins
around the flowers. I used a gold gel pen on the edges of the wreath,
which doesn't show in the picture too well.
The greeting is stamped with a Hero Arts stamp and cut with a
Taylored Expressions label die and edged with the gold pen.

There's Snow One Like You

I'm still working on Christmas cards so I found some inspiration
for this one at Color Throwdown.
Not exactly what you would expect, color wise, for
a Christmas card but I rather like the way it turned out!

I love this cute snowman digital stamp I got from Beccy's Place.
There's a fun holiday cards challenge going on there all month.
I've got to get back to making a few more cards!

Christmas Buddies

I made a card this afternoon using one of my favorite stamps
from Penny Black.

I decided to go with non traditional Christmas colors
using inspiration from Color Throwdown.

I colored the image with pencil colors and used papers from
DCWV's Glitter Basics Stack.
The snowflake came from the button department
at WalMart and I added the gems.
The sentiment sticker is from the Paper Studio.
